About the company
The Calidra group is over 115 years old and is the largest producer of lime in Latin America. In Argentina it has +600 employees, 3 factories in the province of San Juan and one in Neuquén with a capacity of more than 650,000 tons per year. With a main focus on sustainability and subscribing to HMS (Towards Sustainable Mining), Calidra-CEFAS is the biggest local company and the largest exporter of lime to Chile, mainly to serve the large mining industry.
For more than 50 years the group has been operating in the region serving customers in demanding industries such as mining and steel, ensuring quality, reliability, and the highest level of service in the market.
Particularly in the lithium industry, for years we have been working side by side with the main projects´ technical teams studying lime in the different salt flats.
